Bhutan Luxury Tour -5 Days Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu
You will start your trip in Kathmandu, which is the capital city of Nepal. Day 02: Arrive at Paro and Drive to Thimphu
You will move to Kathmandu airport after breakfast and take a flight to Paro, Bhutan. You will undergo immigration and customs at the Paro International Airport and then you will be met by your driver outside the terminal. Starting at Paro, you will begin the picturesque journey to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The trip is about 65 kilometers and it takes about two hours. The political and financial center of the country is called Thimphu and is situated on the banks of the Wang Chhu River.
The city houses significant government constructions, such as the National Assembly, the residence of the King and various administrative offices. Thimphu also has a four-day-long festival during September and October every year, which is attended by the people of various regions of the country. Once you get to Thimphu, you will get into your posh hotel. The rest of the day is at your own leisure following your air and road travel. Day 03: Explore Thimphu
Today is devoted to sightseeing in Thimphu’s main attractions. The day will start with a full-day sightseeing tour in the capital after you have taken breakfast at the hotel. Your first visit is to Anim Dratshang, a peaceful nunnery located on a hillside above Tashichho Dzong.
Then, proceed to the Kuensel Phodrang to see the wonderful Buddha Dordenma Statue. It is a large bronze statue (54 m / 177 ft) that stands over the valley and has thousands of other smaller statues of Buddha within it. The monument was completed in 2015 and is one of the important landmarks of Bhutan.
Then, you will go to the Takin Reserve, where you will observe the national animal of Bhutan in a safe setup. Other wildlife species can also be found in the preserve. Then proceed to the Folk Heritage Museum, where you can get to know about the traditional Bhutanese family life in a restored nineteenth-century house. The museum exhibits household wares, traditional clothing, kitchen appliances and living quarters of the local families in the past.

Day 04: Thimphu to Dochu La and Punakha or Tiger's Nest

The former is a trip between Thimphu and Dochu La. The trip is about 80 kilometers and takes about three hours. The altitude of the Dochu La is 3,100 m / 10,171 ft) and it is famous due to its mountain pass and the 108 chortens that are placed along the roadside. Spending some time at Dochu La, you will proceed to Chimi Lhakhang, the Fertility Temple. The second alternative is a tour of Tiger Nest Monastery in Paro. Day 05: Thimphu to Paro and Return to Kathmandu

Assuming that you remain in Thimphu, you will cover a distance of about 65 kilometers to Paro, which takes an average of two hours to cover. In case you have visited Tiger Nest and stayed in Paro, you will be starting your sightseeing at the location.
The initial one is Tamchog Lhakhang, which is a temple that was constructed in honor of the saint of the thirteenth century, Thangthong Gyalpo.
